Our main event each year is a home school education convention in the summer. The next convention will be July 27–28 at the Modesto Convention Center.
Some of this year’s featured speakers include:
Dr. Jeff Meyers
Dr. Jeff Myers, newly selected president of Summit Ministries, has worked to train millions of young adults in the art of culture-shaping leadership.
In his speaking, Dr. Myers weaves together biblical insight, penetrating social commentary, fascinating research, and hilarious personal stories to motivate and challenge listeners. His passion is renewing enthusiasm for passing the baton of Godly faithfulness on to the next generation.
A professor at Bryan College in Dayton, TN, for 14 years, Dr. Myers helped form a non-profit organization, Passing the Baton International. This organization focuses on the urgency of preparing future leaders through life-on-life mentoring.
He has written 8 books, 6 video coaching systems, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Denver. Jeff and his wife Danielle homeschool their four children.

Andrew Pudewa
Andrew Pudewa is the founder, principal speaker, and director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
Presenting throughout North America, he addresses issues relating to teaching, writing, thinking, spelling, and music with clarity, insight, practical experience, and humor.
His seminars for parents, students, and teachers have helped transform many a reluctant writer and equipped educators with powerful tools to dramatically improve students’ skills.
A graduate of the Talent Education Institute in Japan (Suzuki Method), Andrew also holds a Certificate of Child Brain Development.
He and his beautiful, heroic wife Robin are parents of seven, grandparents of three, and educators of their two youngest children at home in Oklahoma’s Green Country.

James and Stacy McDonald
James & Stacy McDonald, parents of ten kids (three married, seven at home) & grandparents of two, live on “two acres of heaven in the middle of nowhere Illinois” and come to share what they have learned thus far.
James is Pastor of Providence Church in Morton and working to complete his Master of Divinity. He has worn many hats, serving as a design engineer, operations planner, global marketing director and publisher.
However, his true love is preaching God’s Word and ministering to God’s people.
Stacy encourages women all over the globe on issues related to marriage, motherhood, homemaking, chastity, natural food, natural health, and Christian culture.
She travels with the family, speaking, writing (Raising Maidens of Virtue and Passionate Housewives Desperate for God) and blogging.

Tom DeRosa
Tom DeRosa, Director and Founder of Creation Studies Institute, is an author and a sought-after creation speaker.
Most recently he added a new title to his science curriculum titled The Earth: Its Structure & Its Changes (Master Books, 2010).
Noted for his enthusiasm and passion for teaching, and certified in many areas of science including Chemistry, Biology and General Science, Tom has been recognized as an award-winning science teacher who has taught all grade levels including college.

Sue Patrick
Sue Patrick, author of the Workbox System User’s Guide, along with other ebooks supporting her system, developed the Workbox System to provide both structure and a specialized way of teaching her autistic son.
Sue and her husband of 25 years, Dale, live in North Carolina.
