The McDonald family

James McDonald, is a husband and father of ten (three married), grandfather of two, and he serves as pastor of Providence Church in Morton.

A graduate of the University of Idaho (BSME), James is on a lifelong quest to complete his Master of Divinity and is currently enrolled at The North American Reformed Seminary. A man who has worn many hats, James has served as a design engineer, operations planner, global marketing director, and a publisher. However, his true love is preaching God’s Word and ministering to God’s people.

He enjoys strong coffee and what some consider odd food — anything Cajun from shark to crawfish, sushi, elk, ostrich… the list goes on and on.

Thankfully, his wife Stacy is a wonderful cook and can make cardboard taste like bruschetta. James and his family moved to Central Illinois in 2006 from Southeast Texas, where he previously served as pastor of Crown and Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Stacy McDonald is a pastor’s wife, mother, grandma, author, speaker, and blogger. On her blog (www.YourSacredCalling.com) and while traveling with her family she encourages women all over the globe on issues related to marriage, motherhood, homemaking, chastity, natural food/health, and Christian culture.

Stacy is the author of Raising Maidens of Virtue (which has just been revised and expanded) and the co-author of Passionate Housewives Desperate for God. In 2006, after her husband was called to pastor another church in their denomination, Stacy and her family moved from Southeast Texas to the cornfields of the Midwest.

Stacy has three married children, two grandchildren, and seven children still living at home. While Stacy remains in the trenches of motherhood with you, she is glad for the opportunity to share what she and her husband have learned so far!

The McDonald family lives on two acres of heaven in the middle of nowhere Illinois, where they spend their spare time raising a few chickens, adventuring in the woods and corn fields, and reading good books.
