Sue Patrick
“I have been homeschooling for 15 years. I began homeschooling because my son was diagnosed with autism, and though I felt virtually incapable and inadequate, I felt I had no other choice but to homeschool.
My journey has certainly changed from that feeling of hopelessly being pushed into it, to one of eternal gratefulness at having the luxury and the joy to have spent these last 15 years growing and learning right along with my children.
It hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t have wish for any other way. My children are now in high school, my son has progressed beyond my wildest dreams, and God has used our struggles to help other homeschoolers all over the world by answering my daily prayers for guidance in teaching. The system God allowed me to develop, is being used by homeschoolers all over the world and in more countries than I can count.
Through it all, I have learned that relying on God, and not myself, is key. If I will listen and get out of the way, He will do his work.”
Sue has been married to her husband, Dale for 25 years and has homeschooled their two children from the beginning. She lives in North Carolina, is a potter and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and running in her spare time.
